The Chinese Language and Literature major aims to cultivate international talent equipped with a solid foundation in Chinese language and literature and strong cross-cultural communication skills. The professional knowledge system covers three core areas: linguistics, literature, and cultural studies. Students will systematically study the phonetics, vocabulary, grammar, and rhetoric of the Chinese language, grasp the development trajectory and classic works of Chinese literature, and gain an in-depth understanding of traditional Chinese culture, contemporary society, and theories of intercultural communication, thereby forming a comprehensive knowledge structure of Sinology.
